CSV File Requirements

CSV File Format

• First Name,MI,Last Name,Badge,Employee ID,Base Pay,PIN,DOB,Hire Date,Address 1,Address 2,City,State,Zip Code,Home Phone,Home Department

PleaseNote: If using Excel to generate your CSV file, the cells must be formatted as Text to accommodate numbers that begin with zero.

Please Note: To import date based values, such as Date of Birth or Hire Date, the date format must be in MM/DD/YYYY. You may have your date format preferences set to something else, but you must still use the MM/DD/YYYY format to import.

Required fields for a CSV File to import without errors: 

• Last Name
• Employee Number
• Badge Number
• PIN
• Location
• Department
• Pay Class

All other fields can be blank but the comma separator must be in place. See the example below:

• John,,Doe,,10,,,,,,,,,,,
